Saturday, May 10thI had my orientation meeting with 93XRT on May 10th, 2008 at Schuba's Tavern in Chicago. It gave the interns (22 of us!) the opportunity to meet one another as well as the Marketing Staff and our boss, Tom Lisack, Director of New Media and Marketing. We had a brief overview of what we will be doing this summer including one day in the office at NBC Tower from 9am-5pm and our duties and responsibilities for street events, concerts and special projects.
We received a calendar of the "93 Days of Summer," as well as printed information about the history of the station, the style of the station and a statistics sheet of demographic information describing our listeners.
The two hour orientation flew by quickly as I was filled with useful information and excitement that will surely last throughout the summer. I cannot wait to start working for "Chicago's Finest Rock" radio station!
Stay tuned!
